Yesterday we had a little playdate at the park with boyfriend. We thought that we should make some use of the beautiful sunshine (especially since it is supposed to drop back down to the 40s for a while). It seemed as though everyone had the same great idea....the park was so crowded. But we still had fun.
However, I have that child. That child who we get on to EVERYDAY at school for climbing UP the slides instead of going down--yes, now my child is THAT child. The child who has to sit in time out everyday for picking up rocks (or woodchips at the park) and throwing them or deciding to put them on the slide--yes, now my child is THAT child. The child who won't say within the boundaries of the playground and would rather get out and go running towards the mud, road, whatever--yes, my child is THAT child. And of course the child who goes around to strangers and tries to steal their little ones sippy cups--yes my child is THAT child.
I just feel so sorry for one of my dear friends who will have to deal with MY child in a little over 4 years when she enters kindergarten. I just hope that she will learn the rules of the playground before then or she will just have to be another benchwarmer!
