Christmas Part 2

We celebrated round 2 of Christmas with my family. We have to alternate who actually gets Christmas each year since our parents lives so far apart, and this year it was time to head south.
LL received WAY too much stuff!!! Santa must have known that she is OBSESSED with dressing up and princesses b/c everything fit under that theme! Some of her faves were:

As well as a ton of new princess gowns and accessories:)
My parents bought her a precious red wooden easel and a little white convertible. She has the whole pageant wave down, but not the steering!! She headed for EVERY tree in my parent's yard as well as the fence!

She also received these two items as gifts from family.

I really appreciate ALL of the lovely music that is created ALL OF THE TIME by LL with these two instruments:)
I am sure that she will have many more faves as soon as she realizes what all she actually received. Some is already set aside for rainy days:)

Christmas Part 1

We had a wonderful time celebrating with the in-laws this year. They were too generous and bought us WAY too much stuff!
LL's fave was this:

complete with rooms and all!
The mister's fave was probably his pressure washer.
Mine? I can't decide!! I LOVED my new drying rack, mail organizer, clothes, jewelry, and subscription to Southern Living!

The Sunday before Christmas, we had our 2nd annual Kid's Christmas Party!! This year's theme was giving and the children learned all about it by donating toys to children in the hospital and creating cupcakes for loved ones (my child of course had no problem with donating toys, but pitched a fit when she couldn't eat ALL 4 of her cupcakes in one sitting)! Everything was decorated magazine worthy style and the food was DELISH!!!

Up next, ROUND 2!!

December

As usual, the month of December has been a very exciting, as well as a VERY busy month! We have spent the days doing last minute Christmas shopping, picking out the perfect tree to bring home and decorate, having special little Christmas parties with friends, celebrating the holidays with family, and lots more! Hopefully I will be able to sit down and create a few posts soon to help us remember some of the special memories that were made this month:)

20-30

Better LATE than never;)

20- I am thankful for celebrations! Today we celebrated the 1st birthday of a special little boy (boyfriend's baby brother). The theme of forest friends was absolutely adorable and it looked like something that came straight from the pages of Southern Living!
21-I am thankful for 2 day work weeks:)
22- I am thankful for our two super sweet and super cute pets. They have such a good nature and LL absolutely adores them!
23-I am thankful for safe travels and being able to spend time with my hubby's family. Especially each year that we are blessed with another year with his grandfather.
24- I am thankful that we have special holidays that we are able to celebrate with the ones that we love. The food is always wonderful too:)
25-I am thankful for Black Friday. As absolutely crazy as it is, I love how it kicks of the excitement of the Christmas season!
26-I am thankful for special days with my family that we are able to explore nature and the beauty that was created by our God. We explored a famous attraction close to my hubby's hometown today and the views are absolutely breathtaking!
27- I am thankful that both sets of parents are just a short drive away. I am so glad that they are able to see LL several times a year and watch her grow.
28- I am thankful for an awesome boss who lets us have extra "jeans days". It makes coming back to work after the holidays so much better when we can slip on a pair of jeans:)
29- I am thankful for a great insurance company. Before Thanksgiving, I was in a little fender bender. As unpleasant as it is having to deal with everything, it is nice having good people to help you through it.
30- I am thankful that I have a hubby that gets just as excited about decorating for the holidays as I do:)
