My actual birthday celebration started out during the holidays. My mom and grandmother purchased several tops and a few other things for me (which were greatly needed considering that I hardly ever buy for myself anymore (see below for proof)!
The mister and LL also bought this for me (which is WAY more beautiful in person and not quite as bright--think more berry vs magenta ):
I also got an adorable monogrammed shopping tote FILLED with some of my favorite snacks, magazines, a scarf, notecards, a candle, etc. from my secret pal (sorry you can't see much from the pic):
And perhaps an even better present was the mister keeping LL for the weekend while I went on a shopping trip w/ two of my friends to Atlanta.
We left right after work on Friday and quickly noticed that Atlanta
received the snow and ice that we were expected to receive. We headed straight to one of my favorite places to eat - Garrisons
I had the Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese Risotto-which is AMAZING!!!! We also started with the lobster corn dip which is also super yummy! For dessert, we headed to Flemmings for the Lava Cake and Blueberry Cheesecake-YUMMO!
The next morning (after a sleepless night of hearing a car alarm go off for almost 5 hours straight right outside of our hotel window), we headed to La Madeleine for breakfast of a delicious crepe romanoff and potato galette.
Next we headed to market where I mostly found stuff for you know who!
I also found a cute pair of earrings and a swimsuit cover-up actually for ME.
That night, we headed to Maggianos for dinner and my parents surprised me after dinner in our hotel room with a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory-YUM!
Yesterday, we headed back to La Madeleine for the same delicious breakfast mentioned above and then headed to a few places in the mall to look for some skinny jeans and boots for me. Instead, I purchased 3 outfits at Carters, 2 sets of pjs at Gap, and a beautiful yellow smocked bishop at Strasburg-all for little miss priss. We also went to Ikea which is so overwhelming, but has amazing buys. I walked out with only a cute cat stuffed animal for Valentine's day.
Everything I purchased this weekend (not including food and hotel) ended up being $200 (and $90 of it was given to me by others to spend!)
We also enjoyed Johnny Rockets for lunch where they gave me a free shake since it was my bday!
I missed LL SO much and enjoyed seeing her when I got home.
I also had a package from the in-laws with 2 blouses, a watch, a bracelet, and a super cute initial keychain!
Today, I was surprised at school with a Cookie Cake (my FAVE), a cheesecake, some yummy dessert bars, and some caramel rice crispy balls.
I also received several cards and well wishes from friends, family, and students.
Again, I am SO blessed to have such amazing group of family and friends! And what an amazing way to start my 29th year of life!
