Bible Study

I have been so fortunate to have found an amazing group of women to have Bible Study with every other week.
Right now, we are doing a study on a book called Fearlessly Feminine and so far it is great (we have only made it through the first 2 chapters).

The first chapter was on worrying and being fearful. You can put both of these words together and they could be a double middle name for me.
I have always worried-----worried about what other people think of me, worried that something will happen to a loved one, worried, worried, worried.
However, the only thing that this worry has done has been premature gray hairs. It doesn't change the way things are, were, or will be. I need to put things in the Lord's hands instead of constantly worrying/being fearful of EVERYTHING.

Last night, we discussed the woman's role. Now, none of us really agreed with the author's viewpoint/the way that things "should" be. She felt as though our duty was to be in the home, not working, taking care of the home, children, and husband. Now I agree, that one should not put their work first, however I also feel as though many have to work and a lot of good can be done outside of the home as well. (Plus the good Lord knows that if I stayed home the mister and I would be broke and crazy).

The group of women in this study are amazing. Most work daily jobs taking care of others, whether it be in a social work situation, teaching, in a hospital, etc. I feel as though God has put us in these places because we have so much love and care to give. We all put our families first. However, we are also able to offer that love and care to people who may not get it anywhere else.
It gave me so much peace last night realizing that all of the girls in the group are so much like me. We have the same struggles in life.
I can't wait to continue to learn more about this amazing group through this study. I never dreamed that by us getting involved in church, that we would meet such an amazing group of people that we would have so much in common with and have such a great time hanging out with. We are truly blessed!
