We Made It!

Well, we made it to my parents house a little after 8. The kiddos were SO good on the way down and they didn't even sleep a wink! Luckily, we decided to carry along the portable DVD players and they enjoyed singing and dancing to Backyardigans and The Jungle Book.

Even though they may hate each other when they get older, I have such high hopes of LL and boyfriend being together one day (or at least remaining BFFs). They are SO cute when they are together. LL laughs at EVERYTHING that boyfriend does...you can tell that she is absolutely smitten over him. He is such a kind-hearted little boy and will love on her and even tries to hold her hand...it is oh so sweet! I know that the two of them will have a great time on their first Mardi Gras trip together and hopefully there will be many more to come!

Tomorrow, we will attend the dog parade as well as a men's parade in the evening. The kiddos Mardi Gras attire is reading and waiting--hopefully we will not freeze our little booties off. We have also planned a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner at all of my favorite places.
I have also forewarned future MIL about the vicious snowbirds that will be ready to attack during the parade and so has my mom--but that will be saved for a whole new post!
