Yesterday

Yesterday was just one of those craptastic days. It started out when we woke up only to find that one of our eldest children had obviously had an accident during some point in the night on our bedroom floor. This never happens to us at home unless we are having horrible weather.
So, after that, I get stopped by a train 3 different times on the way to take LL to daycare/me going to work. We were short handed at work, I found out that a big community fundraiser that I am involved in is scheduled for the same weekend that I had planned on going on an awesome girls trip to the beach (I even had it written in my calendar as the weekend before the beach) I picked up LL from school only to realize that the only extra change of clothes that I had left there was about 2 sizes too small and she had obviously had an accident (so I walk her out of there w/ the crotch completely undone in this little short romper), I had a lot to get started on at home in order to try to prepare for my parents arrival, and we end the day with another accident on the bedroom floor. Needless to say, both pets were in time out for the evening (which actually made it worse on us b/c we heard crying all night, which made LL cry all night, which equalled no sleep. This is to top off a month in which one little thing has happened after another (and I was hoping that March would be a turn-around)!
However, once I started looking at pictures to load for today, I suddenly felt as though I don't have it so bad--even when so much has been going wrong in the Loyo world.
These pictures were taken of LL at a birthday party for a set of twins who turned 3. You may remember me talking about my friend who lost his wife in the fall, well, these are their kids.
It broke my heart that day to know that their mother was not able to be there to celebrate their 3rd birthday with them. And it makes me realize that even though we are going through a tough time in various areas of our life, at least we still have that life.
