Last night I attended the Kindergarten Ornament Swap at Olive Garden. We had a lot of fun and I received a large pretty ornament. I was a little worried that LL's aunt had forgotten that she was supposed to babysit, but I finally got in touch w/ her an hour before I was supposed to be there. They ended up being a little late, but I guess you get what you pay for--especially when its free! However, I was very fortunate to be able to go and for them to be so willing to not only keep her last night, but tonight as well.
We will have our Sunday School ornament swap tonight. I can't wait to see what ornaments we receive. I think some of the guys in our Sunday School class had a lot of fun picking out their ornaments. Since we are new to the class, ours are more tame.
I also picked up our Christmas cards last night. Hopefully, I can get them in the mail this weekend.
There were many failed attempts to try to get the perfect photos this year. LL just will not be still for one second these days. So, I decided to turn on the Backyardigans and gave her a decoration to hold (that she is never able to touch) in hopes that she would sit still long enough for me to snap a few good shots. Well, every shot either looked like this:

(me blocking the tv)So needless to say, I considered this attempt a fail and caught some others at another time. The pets are SO glad that after all of LL's photo shoots, I decided that I did not have the time or energy to throw on their Christmas attire and try to get them to sit still for a photo session!
