I am usually full of this Christmas spirit, but this year I have had multiple road blocks try to get in my way.
As I was sure that the week would start turning around today, I realized quickly that boy was I wrong!
This morning I headed to the dr with LL. She has had a nasty cough and still has a rash, so I wanted to just be reassured that it wasn't anything serious before heading out of town.
Almost 2hours later, we walk out of there with ANOTHER ear infection (didn't think that this could happen while on antibiotics for an ear infection), the skin diagnosis of eczema, and brociolitis with asthma like symptoms.
So, we now have another antibiotic for the ear, a cream for the skin, and an inhaler for the cough. I also had to hold a mask on her face for 10 minutes so that she could take a breathing treatment while there--pure joy I tell ya! You would have thought that I was plucking the feathers of a chicken one by one!
So, after that, I dropped off gifts for LL's teachers, picked up a Christmas present, came home and started 50 loads of laundry, had boyfriend over to exchange gifts, took LL to lunch and then went to pick something up from future MIL's house that she had purchased for me.
And this is where the fun begins!
For the past 2 months, I have been on the lookout for the Little People Nativity set sold by Target. I finally got my hands on a rain check so that I could purchase it for 1/2 off, but that was the best that I could do. It seemed as though they were not going to re-order it for the holidays (and I was even told that on numerous occasions).
So, I was shocked when future MIL told me that she had found it at one of the Targets that I had frequented at least 10 times this holiday season and had called at least 30 times checking on the item.
She purchased it and was told that I could come back w/ the rain check for the price adjustment whenever.
So, I went for my price adjustment today and had my first encounter with "Timothy". Let me just say that I think that RuPaul is probably one of "Timothy's" biggest idols.
Well, he insisted that it was "store policy" for me to have brought it back within the same day to claim my price adjustment and that he would have to just put it in the cart behind the counter and issue me a full refund. I expressed to him my concern with being able to find another one since it had been impossible to find one for the past 2 months and could I please just re-purchase that one. He said no way and sent me to look for another one on the shelf--of course which was bare. So, I asked kindly to speak to a manager and he exclaimed that he was a manager. Knowing that he wasn't, I asked again and received the same response. SO, I snatched the bag, which flung across the floor, called it BS and headed out to another Target.
Long story short, after sitting in stand still traffic, I made it to the other Target where the adjustment was easy peasy, called Target #1, spoke to the actual manager, and let her have my thoughts on "Timothy".
Now I am home, needing to clean, pack, wrap gifts, pick up meds, etc....instead of venting on the computer...but boy does it feel good!
And I thought that I would be on the road no later than 11 today to head south-It is now 3:45 HAHAHA!!
