Anniversary Make-Up

The mister and I ended up going out to dinner after all on Tuesday night to celebrate our anniversary a little late. My college roommate (a very dear friend) and her hubby kept LL while we got away for a couple of hours. They have a little girl 6 months older than LL and we do not get them together often enough! (Sad thing about it is that they live in a subdivision just down the road from us) We went to a restaurant that is not too far from our house. They have the WORLD'S BEST crabcakes! Trust me, I have had SEVERAL crab cakes (and other versions of crab throughout the years growing up on the coast) and these are by far the BEST!! Actually, I will not eat them anywhere else now, because I know that I will be disappointed. We started our meal with a yummy salad and their yummy bread. I got the steak and cake that is covered in a delicious brown garlic butter sauce (see pic), while the mister got the oyster stuffed filet (yuck!-I don't care for oysters) We also had the potatoes au gratin as our side. To finish the meal we had the creme brulee trio. It was VERY good, but I must admit-the best trio that I have ever had was at Koi in LA (another one of my all-time faves!)

It ended up being a fabulous anniversary after all!
