It is sad that it takes a natural disaster resulting in so much devastation for people to actually get out there and be more Jesus-like helping one another. However, I love to see us all doing Jesus's work and I hope that it will continue long after the pieces of the storms have been put back together. I have been shaken to the core watching all of the natural disasters this year (tornadoes/snow and ice storms/tsunami) and fear what is to come.
So many people lost their lives, loved ones, homes, etc... in these storms and it will take a lot of time and effort to help them even begin to piece their lives back together.
While I am glad that Bin Laden is no longer a direct threat to us, it saddens me to know that his death has completely taken over the media coverage that the relief efforts were getting nationally. I urge all to help in any way that they can whether it be donating money, supplies, or time. I also urge you all, including myself, to continue to give to those in need every year.
