Rainy Day

We have had a pretty lazy day today. LL took an almost 3 hour nap and a few minutes ago she was acting tired again, so now she is down for a cat nap (I won't let her sleep long this time)! I guess the rain makes everyone kind of drowsy. After her first nap, we ran to Happy Hour at Sonic for a Vanilla Coke and french fries. Oh, how my child LOVES french fries. We have actually been going by there on school days. However, I skipped it yesterday and LL let me know that she was NOT happy and knew that we weren't making our pit stop as soon as I turned out of school going in the opposite direction. So, being the great mom that I am, I treated her to it today instead! She has forgiven me.
We really don't have much planned for this weekend. I thought that we were going to head south, however, a few things happened and so plans changed. Instead, she and I will be heading down next week to attend the Gulf Coast benefit concert. I know that this is meant to draw in out-of-towners, and I guess technically I am one now! Although I won't be staying at the gulf, I fully plan on giving back to the local businesses by doing what I do best-eating and shopping! I hope that this event will draw in a lot of business-they desperately need it!
