my mother!
My mother LOVES a good deal. In fact, when it comes to shopping, she is one of the most thrifty people I know. For example, if a local department store was having a sale, my mom would not go to the "30% off" racks. Instead she would find the racks that were a clearance of 70% with an additional 25% and only shop from there.
Don't get me wrong, I RARELY ever buy anything not on sale, but I am not as cheap as my mother---usually.
Well, as everyone knows, I have been making several purchases lately to ensure that I give LL the best possible 1st birthday party ever. To add a little more fun to the tent/tunnel town pictured below, I decided to purchase some balls to make a little "ball pit" in one or two of the tents.
I first looked at the site where I bought the tents/tunnels, but the balls were $24.99 on there, so I nixed that idea and kept looking. I finally found the same amount of balls for $11.97 online at Wally-World. What a deal!!-I thought.
Wouldn't you know, that when I was actually in the store, they were listed as $9.88.
So, today I returned my two for $11.97 and re-bought the same thing for $9.88 (so I thought). Instead, they were ringing up for $10.
I told the cashier that the shelf said $9.88, so she sent someone for a price check. In the meantime, another employee comes up with a price scanner and ensures her that they are indeed $10. I go ahead and purchase them. As soon as she rings me up, the employee that went on the price check search comes back to say that the sticker indeed says $9.88. So what do I do? I return to the service desk for my $0.26 refund!!!
