Don't Forget..

Considering I am a teacher, I could write a book about all of the quotes/stories that I have heard from students and even parents.
This past week, I had a good laugh involving another teacher. Last Thursday and Friday I attended a workshop on how to manage various crisis situations involving students safely. We were sent an email as a reminder of all of the things that we needed to do to be prepared for this workshop-one of which was to bring a WRITING utensil. As soon as we were seated on Thursday, the instructor started complaining about how people just don't read their emails (or don't read them thoroughly). After we were dismissed for lunch a teacher from another school came up to a friend and I and asked what kind of utensil we brough-referring to the email. We kind of looked at one another and then her and said "pens". She then admitted that she had obviously looked over the "writing" part and had brought a spatula as her "utensil" (as she pulled it out of her bag to show us)-HA!!

Today, I got on to a student for walking backwards. I told him that he needed to turn around and watch out where he was going. He looked at me and said "I am not worried about where I am going, I want to know where I've been." He was 5. Interesting way to look at life I guess.
