Lately.

Things have been rather crazy in the Loyo house lately, including a few recent trips, which have contributed to my lack of blogging.
We have decided that we need to start working on keeping a better budget and I knew that it would most definitely affect my trip that I just returned from yesterday-the semi-annual trip to market.
I was SO worried that it might not be such a great idea for me to go, however, I knew that the things that I always buy at market are far better deals than I can find at any store (since it is wholesale samples, instead of paying retail).
So, I made myself a promise.....
a little over a week before market, I started going through my closet as well as LL's. I looked for things that had either never been worn or barely been worn due to fit, incorrect size for season, etc. and started listing on ebay!
I promised myself that I would not spend more than I made off of my sales at market, so my sales would depend on whether it would even be worth the trip.
Needless to say, I made my goal by the skin of my teeth and I headed off to Atlanta with LL's future mother-in-law/my co-worker/ very dear friend of mine. We stayed with my parents which cut the cost of hotel to zero!
I ended up buying 3 items for LL. 2 for this fall and 1 for next summer. There were other items that I just had to turn my head to and decide what was my "favorite must haves".
It also helped to have my closest friend with me who was able to give 2nd opinions AND deter me from mainly shopping from LL to help her shop for her two BOYS!
That's right-boyfriend is going to have a little brother and it was SO much fun helping her pick out teeny tiny clothing (and of course a few finds for boyfriend as well!)
